Capital city: Santo Domingo
Population: 9.5 million
Flight times: 10 hours
Average weather forecast in June is 38 degrees with low humidity

there are 5 resorts in the Dominica republic
Bahia Maimon
Cabarete
Cofresi
Playa Dorada
Puerto Plata
Sosua
Bahia Maimon is a little further west from Cofresi and comprises a complex of three hotels beside a sandy beach. This quiet resort is perfect for a totally relaxing beach getwaway. It is here that Columbus established his first settlement in the Americas. Unlike the busier resorts of Sosua and Playa Dorada, Bahia Maimon is utterly tranquil and restful, yet still contains the soft sandy beach and turquoise sea that attracts people to the area. A perfect choice for a break away from the rat race, you are sure to leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Cabarete stretches out beside a ribbon of fine sand around a sweeping bay. It lies about 30 km east of Puerto Plata and is backed by a meandering lagoon. Watersports are a popular pastime here - particularly windsurfing. There’s also a selection of small gift shops and amenities around the Plazez Commerical Centre. Night-life is focused along the beach where you can find numerous restaurants.
Cofresi lies ten kilometres to the west of Puerto Plata, the capital of the Amber Coast. It was named after an infamous Puerto Rican pirate, Captain Roberto Cofresi - regarded by many as a Puerto Rican version of Robin Hood, due to his practise of sharing his bounty with the needy. What began as a small fishing village is now a stunning resort, with a divine golden sandy beach lapped by crystal clear waters.
Playa Dorada A playground for sun worshippers and golfers, this purpose-built area embraces many top quality hotels and night-spots, a commercial centre and renowned golf course right on the beach and 6.5 kilometres from Puerto Plata town. The central point is Plaza Playa Dorada, a cluster of shops, restaurants and local amenities.
Puerto Plata Founded in 1502, this charming, historic town is the capital of the Amber Coast. Situated at the base of Mount Isabel de Torres, it offers plenty for all ages. Enjoy a walk along the Malecon or take the cable car to the summit of Mount Isabel de Torres with its botanical gardens
Sosua A popular resort on the north coast, Sosua combines a fantastic horseshoe-shaped beach of golden sand with a wide array of entertainment. The laid-back atmosphere is relaxing, yet away from the sands there are abundant souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes and music bars to keep you happy - all of which have a typical Dominican feel.

What to do in Cancun
Watersports in Cancun
If you’re into watersports, then Mexico has plenty to offer. The coastal resorts all cater for enthusiasts and beginners. Snorkeling, wind- and kitesurfing, parasailing and sailing are all available. For a different underwater experience visit the ‘cenotes’ or caves, lying just off the highway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. They’re favorites with divers, snorkelers, and swimmers.
Swimming With Dolphins in Cancun
There are a number of marine parks and resort-based companies that offer the rare chance to swim and interact with dolphins.
Golf in Cancun
Combine sightseeing with a round of golf. Mayan ruins can be seen on some of the scenic courses centred around the resorts.

Cancun Shopping
The best buys in Mexico include silverware, ceramics and locally made pottery, woven wool blankets (sarapes), brightly colored scarves in wool or silk (rebozos), richly embroidered charro hats, straw work, blown glass, embossed leather, hard- and semi-precious stones, gold and silver jewellery, finely pleated men’s shirts in cotton voile (guayaberas), white dresses embroidered with multi-colored flowers (huipiles), which are sold in the markets, and hammocks. And of course, there’s tequila! The best shopping is in Mexico City, Acapulco, Campeche, Cuernavaca, Guadalajara, Merida, Oaxaca, San Miguel de Allende and Taxco.
Cancun Cuisine
Obviously tequila is what first comes to mind, and it’s not surprising with over 200 different varieties. Cancun is home to a restaurant called La Destilleria, an old tequila distillery that was brought from Mexico City piece by piece (supposedly). It features dozens of tequilas for guests to try and buy. In addition to this, no holiday is complete without trying Mexican Fajitas and Guacamole.
Cancun Night-life
Said to be the Ibiza of the Caribbean, Cancun is home to several night clubs as well as salsa, theme and small family bars - and with a resort of 1 million people you’re guaranteed a very lively atmosphere.
Mexico currency is Mexican peso, the current exchange rate is about £1 = 20mxn
Flying time to Mexico Cancun:
Flying time is about 12 hours and they are about 7 hours behind us in time, so when its 7pm in the uk it would be 12pm in Mexico.

About Dubai
Dubai has a population of just 1.25 million people. Most of the revenue in Dubai is income from oil, but unlike other Arab countries, Dubai is investing into Solar energy, to provide for the future
A unique destination for the discerning traveller and for Honeymoons, dynamic Dubai is where Arabia meets the West. One of the most sophisticated Emirates, it provides modern day comforts and a rich culture with long-established traditions. Pale sandy beaches lined with lavish hotels stretch along the Gulf coast, whilst traditional souks and superb shopping malls vie for trade and adventurers embark on desert safaris across the Arabian dunes. With year-round sunshine and a luxurious lifestyle, Dubai is sure to please.
Dubai is famous for its towering skylines, fabulous tax-free designer shopping and gorgeous beaches. But there’s more to this city than just bling. The gulf coast offers sports opportunities aplenty, including golf and windsurfing, while the region around Dubai is worth exploring for its arid desert landscape, ancient villages and the eastern rocky range of the Hajjar Mountains.
The city itself is where most people base themselves staying in holiday apartments in Dubai itself, or opting for hotels. Holiday villas in Dubai are another accommodation alternative, allowing you to choose to go self-catering. In Dubai you’ll find it’s easy to eat out, the standard and choice of restaurants is impressive although mostly being based in hotels, which are the only licensed places in the city. A beautiful holiday destination and a great honeymoon destination for March April and May, Dubai does much to impress and persuade return visits.

Great honeymoon ideas in March go to Dubai
Going on a honeymoon is quite expensive, especially if you choose an exotic destination. I thought I would give some tips to help you make your perfect honeymoon but on a tight budget.
1) Booking your hotel and flight seperatly can save you money.
e.g book your hotel with 1hotelsearch.co.ukand then book your flights with a low cost carrier
2) Remeber to book with a credit card, so if the company goes bust, you dont loose your honeymoon holiday look at these deals
3) If you book with a package holiday company, wait till the last minute there are always amazing deals availablelook at these deals
4) If you are not flexible, be flexible enough tha you dont go on school holidays, your honeymoon taken in schoolholidays a) will be an over crowded resort b) your holiday will be about 30% more expensive
5) Book a self catering honeymoon holiday, you will save a few quid, that way you dont have to get up by 10am to be in the dinning room to finish your breakfast
6) Stay local, Why not just (if you live in england) go to Scotland and stay in a 3star hotel. You can pick up a cheap hotel in scotland from only about £30 a night and who cares that it doesnt have a Jacuzi, your honeymoon will be as exciting as you want it (if you dont end up arguing)
Feel free to add any honeymoon suggestions. all suggestions gladly welcom
