The hotel is south facing and set in its own mature gardens with the South Devon coastline just 12 miles away. You could not wish for a better location for a short break or relaxing holiday.

Relax in the sauna, top up your tan in the solarium, or just while away your time in the spa pool. For those more active, a fitness suite featuring a variety of exercise equipment is just the job to keep in trim.
All 22 bedrooms are comfortably furnished, tastefully decorated and designated ‘non-smoking’. Each one has a bath and shower en-suite and is equipped with all the usual facilities including hospitality tray, colour television, trouser press and radio alarm. Many rooms are double bedded but there are a number of twins (some of which zip together to give very nice ‘kingsize’ beds) and a couple of single beds too.
A good number of the rooms have lovely views across the garden up to the moor and three or four rooms are situated at ground level which is well suited to those who struggle with stairs.
A perfect place for a relaxed Maldives holiday. Fun Island is simple and charming, with an excellent community atmosphere, where you can enjoy a perfect break in the sun - a gorgeous beach, some great watersports and diving, and the chance to meet and enjoy your time with the other guests. The décor is basic and traditional - with sandy floors and wicker furniture, you will definitely get that tropical island feel. There is a good number of watersports available to do, from kitesurfing to volleyball, and diving is available both day and night. Please note that access is limited to the West side of the island only.

Well we have just come back from a holiday from Nice.
We chose Nice, because it was a single direct flight and I needed a 2 day holiday.
We booked our flights with EasyJet.com which seemed to be the cheapest, even so they charge for baggage as an extra.
Car hire was expensive but we chose to rent a car just for the ease of getting around, we paid about £90.00 for 2 days
Aiprort parking we looked around and found Fhr was the cheapest for airport parking
Hotels
We where looking for an expensive quality hotel at a cheap price, we used the 1hotelsearch hotel search engine and was astounded to find a Hotel in nice 4 stars at only £100.00 a night, the correct price should have been about £280.00
The problem with renting a car is that at hotels you have to park in a public parking which costs about 24 euro a day.
Nice, the beaches are rocky, so we drove to Caanes, which has lovely sandy beaches. We wanted a quite beach, so we went to a private beach in caanes and we where told to pay 37 euro a person, I asked the person if I dont use the towel and deckchair, how much would it be, and she replied its free, so we had this quite beach to ourselves.
We drove up to Monaco (monte carlo) to visit the casinos, not to play but just to see what the fuss is all about, I must say it was worthwhile seeing, remember if you go to take your passport with you because they wont let you into the casino without your passport.
The drive to monaco is nice and you have the option of taking the toll roads or not, as a tourist I wouldnt take the toll road, the (free ) route is very scenic, but if you are in a rush take the toll road, it is only about 2.50 euro.
Shopping in Nice: dont even bother everything is a fortune, we popped into cap3000 whichis a shopping mall next to the airport, you can take a bus there for about 1.50 euro from nearly any area in nice.
Not to be missed is the market in the old town of nice, between 9 - 1 in the mornings.
If you are into walking visit the Valderblora mountains or Valderberg, which has snow topped peaks and lovely views.
In Cannes you can take a boat trip across to monac which is nice and exciting.
If you are feeling pumped and young, you can rent a moped from ADA which is is the main town of Nice, a 50cc moped costs only 26 euro a day.
Overall we had a nice time, we where there for 2 days and packed in quite a bit, I couldnt spend more than a week in Nice, but each to there own

Bahia Maimon is a little further west from Cofresi and comprises a complex of three hotels beside a sandy beach. This quiet resort is perfect for a totally relaxing beach getwaway. Unlike the busier resorts of Sosua and Playa Dorada, Bahia Maimon is utterly tranquil and restful, yet still contains the soft sandy beach and turquoise sea that attracts people to the area. Cabarete stretches out beside a ribbon of fine sand around a sweeping bay. It lies about 30 km east of Puerto Plata and is backed by a meandering lagoon. Watersports are a popular pastime here - particularly windsurfing. There’s also a selection of small gift shops and amenities around the Plazez Commerical Centre. Night-life is focused along the beach where you can find numerous restaurants.
Cofresi lies ten kilometres to the west of Puerto Plata, the capital of the Amber Coast. It was named after an infamous Puerto Rican pirate, Captain Roberto Cofresi - regarded by many as a Puerto Rican version of Robin Hood, due to his practise of sharing his bounty with the needy. What began as a small fishing village is now a stunning resort, with a divine golden sandy beach lapped by crystal clear waters.
Playa Dorada A playground for sun worshippers and golfers, this purpose-built area embraces many top quality hotels and night-spots, a commercial centre and renowned golf course right on the beach and 6.5 kilometres from Puerto Plata town. The central point is Plaza Playa Dorada, a cluster of shops, restaurants and local amenities.
Puerto Plata Founded in 1502, this charming, historic town is the capital of the Amber Coast. Situated at the base of Mount Isabel de Torres, it offers plenty for all ages. Enjoy a walk along the Malecon or take the cable car to the summit of Mount Isabel de Torres with its botanical gardens
Sosua A popular resort on the north coast, Sosua combines a fantastic horseshoe-shaped beach of golden sand with a wide array of entertainment. The laid-back atmosphere is relaxing, yet away from the sands there are abundant souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes and music bars to keep you happy - all of which have a typical Dominican feel.
We where looking for a honeymoon idea for May and after much research we didnt find a great selection of honeymoon holiday ideas. Our criteria for a honeymoon destination has to be that it has a beach its hot but not too humid. Looking at all other Honeymoon destinations for may, we found humidity too high.

If you’re into watersports, then Mexico has plenty to offer. The coastal resorts all cater for enthusiasts and beginners. Snorkeling, wind- and kitesurfing, parasailing and sailing are all available. For a different underwater experience visit the ‘cenotes’ or caves, lying just off the highway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. They’re favorites with divers, snorkelers, and swimmers.

Obviously tequila is what first comes to mind, and it’s not surprising with over 200 different varieties. Cancun is home to a restaurant called La Destilleria, an old tequila distillery that was brought from Mexico City piece by piece (supposedly). It features dozens of tequilas for guests to try and buy. In addition to this, no holiday is complete without trying Mexican Fajitas and Guacamole.

Said to be the Ibiza of the Caribbean, Cancun is home to several night clubs as well as salsa, theme and small family bars - and with a resort of 1 million people you’re guaranteed a very lively atmosphere.

Flying time is about 12 hours and they are about 7 hours behind us in time, so when its 7pm in the uk it would be 12pm in Mexico.
Varca in goa The relaxed atmosphere of Varca means you can spend most of the day on the sands, but take time out to go dolphin spotting and then back again in time for tea in one of the shacks run by local residents, who serve the most incredible local seafood and liquour. Sounds idyllic? It is!
